The washline mounts

A wash line mount is basically a series of delicate lines drawn onto the matt with a delicate color wash applied between several of the lines by means of an instrument, the draughtsman's ruling pen by using various liquid materials walnut stain or ink, of a strip painted in the watercolor in appropriate tones, and by a golden strip.

The wash line mount can be classic, of simple shape without ornament.

It can be decorated with cartridges or with ornaments of style. Materials and stylistic options vary according to the nature of the work to be framed.
